Using default control wizard utility, the system builds Listbox controls (including the ComboBox too) in seconds with the option of either defining your own value list (as demonstrated) or binding the source to either a table or query making this a versatile control for your Access forms.

There is a third option (subject to the form being based on a table or query) that allows users to add macro/VBA code to finding records in table or query. Just follow the wizard steps!

  1. To really take control and give a polished look and feel, learn to spend time using the properties for a ListBox control. The above illustration was designed manually using the various properties via the Property Sheet and most are available to all version of Microsoft Access
